Overview
The Ware Utilities and Facilities Capital Projects Team are responsible for the delivery of investments and upgrades across the campus, including manufacturing and R&D infrastructure from inception through to closeout. We manage a wide range of projects from welfare and office refurbishment to quality‑critical manufacturing equipment and facilities, delivering approximately £30m per annum in site investment.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and execution of capital projects, including site expansions, facility upgrades, and equipment installations.
* Support project managers in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
* Lead your own project activities where opportunities arise.
* Conduct research and gather data to support project feasibility studies and risk assessments.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, procurement, EHS, quality, operations) to ensure successful project delivery.
* Participate in site inspections, safety audits, and quality control checks.
* Prepare and present project reports, status updates, and technical documentation.
Worthing - Electrical Department (Role 2)
Role involves designing and organising the installation of electrical infrastructure, including substations, switchgear, and LV/HV works, with ongoing improvements to support the site’s electrification and sustainability goals. Projects may include PV arrays and safety‑critical services such as fire alarm systems, compliant with British Standards. The electrical engineering team supports internal Manufacturing, Packaging and Utilities departments and coordinates with sub‑contractors on capital projects and remedial/maintenance tasks for the compliance team.
Key Learnings & Responsibilities
* Investigating new engineering technologies to improve plant and maintenance techniques.
* Development and implementation of maintenance best practice.
* Supporting delivery of electrical installations, remedial and improvement works.
* Specifying new equipment and components.
* Performing root cause analysis investigations and contributing to safety and quality risk assessments.
* Carrying out continuous improvement activities to ensure good manufacturing practice.
* Extensive hands‑on experience in testing, preventive and corrective maintenance, and commissioning of medium and low voltage switchgear facilities.
* Working with a leading energy distributor in the design, installation, and delivery of a new 11 kV distribution system.
Role Requirements (Education & Eligibility)
Current status: Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering. You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK or ROI university for the duration of your placement. If you have already graduated with a bachelor’s degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Master’s, you are not eligible for this programme. Language: Written and spoken fluency in English.

Additional Information
