An opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the TB team which is based at St. Luke’s Hospital. The successful candidate will support and develop the service. The TB team meets the needs of the local population and to ensure that a high standard of care is provided in relation to screening and treatment of TB. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated nurse with post registration expertise to join the expanding Tuberculosis clinical nurse specialist service at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The nurse in post will also work closely with the respiratory and infectious diseases teams and UKHSA. The successful candidate must have 4 years post registration experience including 2 years in the medicine speciality; experience working with TB patients is desirable. Candidates should possess excellent decision making and clinical assessment skills. All applicants need a full driving licence. Advert The post-holder will be responsible for the management of a defined caseload of TB patients (and contacts) and will provide specialist nursing support, advice, education and/or care to that specific group. They will carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards within the TB service. SKILL/QUALIFICATION REQUIRED R.N. Full Driving Licence and use of a car for work purposes Minimum 4 years post registration, including 2 years in medicine.
