Science Teacher/Tutor

We are working with an independent special school, catering for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 19 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver clear, high-quality science lessons that support pupils in making good or outstanding progress
* Tailor teaching to meet the individual SEN needs of pupils
* Assess pupil work and progress regularly, providing constructive feedback
* Report on pupil progress in line with school policies
* Manage behaviour positively and consistently following school policy
* Participate in school events as required
* Work across multiple school sites and outreach venues, including transporting pupils in your own vehicle when necessary

* Maintain confidentiality and report any concerns using appropriate procedures
Essential Criteria:
* GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent
* Recognised Teaching Qualification
* Competent use of ICT for teaching and assessment
* Trustworthy, dependable, and patient
* Evidence of recent successful science teaching at class or group level
* Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
* High levels of tolerance and empathy

* Two most recent professional references covering the last 24 months
