Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN) – Full Time
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Contract: Full time, long-term
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support within a primary SEN setting in Bury.
This role involves supporting younger pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop confidence within a structured and supportive environment.
The Role
You will work closely with pupils throughout the school day, supporting both their academic progress and personal development.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Supporting classroom activities and routines
* Assisting with behaviour and emotional support
* Encouraging independence and engagement
* Working closely with teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience supporting SEN pupils (primary preferred)
* Nurturing, patient and consistent approach
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships
* Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
