We’re working with a leading manufacturer to recruit an Engineering Technician to support specialist production processes and process development. The role focuses on cleaning, masking, coating, and demasking components for engineering trials, while also supporting continuous improvement, training, and quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare components for coating, including cleaning, masking, coating, and demasking.
* Assist in developing and documenting new production methods and process improvements.
* Support training and upskilling of production staff.
* Conduct root cause analysis and assist with corrective actions.
* Respond to technical process queries from production teams.
* Monitor process accuracy and ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
* Approve compliance documentation and maintain accurate production records.
* Operate and maintain precision testing equipment (e.g., profilometers, micrometres, spectrophotometers).
* Liaise with internal departments to maintain efficient operations and high-quality standards.
* Support customer queries and technical requests.
Requirements:
* Comfortable reading and interpreting technical documentation.
* Solid numeracy skills and ability to interpret data and graphs.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative.
* Experience with precision measurement tools and lab instruments.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and other standard applications.
* Clear communicator with strong organisational skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Professional approach when interacting with colleagues and customers.
Benefits:
* Salary up to £28,000
* Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays (3 reserved for Christmas closure)
