What your day will feel like.
We work 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, but are moving towards working alternate an earlies and lates shift pattern 06:00 to 14:15 and 13:45 to 22:00 Monday to Friday
As a Shift/Team Leader, you’ll balance guiding your team of 7 technicians while staying hands-on on the production line. You’ll ensure high quality outputs while keeping workflows steady.
* Lead a small, approachable team while staying actively involved in production
* Maintain smooth operations and clear priorities without unnecessary pressure
* Identify and solve issues early, with the authority to do so.
* Support and coach team members to grow their skills and confidence
* Ensure compliance with production and quality standards
In our production process, each reagent cartridge is carefully assembled using a mix of precision tools and hands on techniques. The process balances hands-on craftsmanship with precise equipment such as heat welders, ultrasonic welders, manual presses as well as a glovebox, ensuring every cartridge meets our high quality standards.
This is a role where leadership isn’t about oversight, it’s about empowering your team, keeping things running efficiently, and taking pride in what you produce together.
Requirements
You don’t need to be perfect, you need the right mix of leadership, hands-on skills, and a problem solving mindset.
* Practical experience in electronic or mechanical assembly, with attention to detail
* Confidence leading a small team, communicating clearly, and motivating others
* Experience managing materials, stock, or production schedules
* Cleanroom experience (ISO 13485 or similar is ideal but not essential)
* Familiarity with Quality Management Systems is helpful
* A proactive, solution-focused approach when things need fixing
