About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Childrens Residential Manager to oversee the operations of a small childrens residential home based in Leicestershire.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a child:centred approach, and experience managing within a residential childcare environment. You will support a team of Residential Support Workers to ensure the home meets all quality, care, and safeguarding standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day:to:day operations of the residential home
* Support, supervise, and develop a team of care staff
* Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and behavioural strategies
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted and Childrens Homes Regulations
* Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external agencies
* Participate in the on:call and sleep:in rota as required
Essential Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
* At least 2 years of experience in a residential childcare setting
* Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or senior care role
* Working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Passion for improving the lives of young people
Desirable
* Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
* Familiarity with trauma:informed care approaches
