Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and fault finding of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and other life safety and security systems. This is a field-based role requiring travel to client sites. Key Responsibilities * Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional). * Fault-finding and diagnostics on all systems. * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive callouts. * Complete all job reports, service sheets, and certificates accurately. * Ensure compliance with current industry standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS 7671, NSI, SSAIB). * Work within agreed timeframes and budgets. * Provide technical support and advice to clients. * Participate in the on-call rota * Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations. * Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition. Essential Requirements * Proven experience as a Fire and Security Engineer (minimum 2 years preferred). * Competence in servicing and maintaining fire alarm and security systems. * Knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry regulations. * Full UK driving licence. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Valid ECS/CSCS card (preferred). * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
