With over 50 years of experience in the rail industry, we’ve delivered complex and challenging multidisciplinary projects all over the world. Our expertise extends to stations, depots, operations, maintenance analytics and asset management across all aspects of rail, including transport, technical and sustainability assessments and systems infrastructure.
We are seeking experienced Consultants (Scheme Project Managers) to join our Transportation Business Line to safely deliver £1-10m portfolios of challenging rail infrastructure projects, for clients such as Network Rail, Transport for London, HS2, Train Operating Companies and many more. This is a permanent position based in York or Leeds.
Accountable for the delivery of low complex projects or parts of complex projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality standards.
Manage multi-disciplinary teams including commercial, programme controls, engineering, and others to identify solutions to client requirements and establish a robust baseline plan.
Support Senior Consultants in project reporting to the programme board.
Identify project risks and opportunities, updating project registers and implementing mitigation measures.
Hold project reviews with multiple stakeholders through the project lifecycle and provide evaluations of progress against the baseline.
Experience of stakeholder management and understanding the levels of influence and interests stakeholders have on projects.
Rail experience is essential
Member of the Association of Project Management (or equivalent) or working towards membership
Relevant experience in managing projects to time, cost and quality standards
Experience implementing GRIP, PACE, Pathway or other project management methodologies
Contract administration experience
Ability to interrogate project programmes (P6 and/or MSP)
Financial management/control experience
