Project Engineer – Mechanical
Permanent role based in Biddulph, England. Pay: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum.

* Location: Biddulph, England (commutable from Crewe, Middlewich, Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Macclesfield, Leek, Northwich, Knutsford, Newcastle‑under‑Lyme & North Stoke)
* Job type: Permanent (Contract and Temporary options available)
* Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
* Sector: Mechanical Engineering (process-driven, food and chemical, plant machinery, and ancillary equipment)
Responsibilities
* Obtain and review client specifications and drawings, analyze product test results to ensure proposals meet client requirements.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and produce proposal documents for client presentation.
* Collaborate closely with clients and in‑house design/production staff to jointly manage client requirements.
* Maintain all project documentation, conduct site surveys, and oversee commissioning throughout the UK.
* Perform occasional site visits (approximately 3–6 times a year) to discuss progress and update the client.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
* Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical or process engineering.
* Experience with food or chemical process equipment and control systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Familiarity with engineering drawings produced in SolidWorks.
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles and equipment interaction.
Desirable
* Contract management experience.
* Good commercial awareness.
Location & Working Hours
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with potential for some flexibility.
