About the role
You’ll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but the huge small victories you achieve will be something you’re really proud of. Witherslack Group provides support through in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals. You’ll be part of well-resourced school environments with ongoing support to help you build a rewarding teaching career.
You’ll be joining Ashbrooke School, a leading SEN setting in the North East, in a purpose-built school with specialist classrooms, extensive grounds and sporting facilities, plus a new primary provision. The setting supports young people with ADHD, ASD, SEMH and SLCN and was recently rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

Responsibilities and requirements
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching primary aged pupils and the impact of your subject
* Build strong relationships with your class and relate your subject to each pupil
* Be a team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to contribute to your department
* Have previous teaching experience
