Role Overview
The Patient Experience Officer will work independently within the Patient Feedback Team and the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALs), supporting the provision of a robust and effective PALS within the Group. Responsibilities include responding to routine concerns raised by patients and the public, providing advice and support, and engaging in real-time patient feedback collection through interviews in various settings. Data collection and reporting, including the Friends and Family Test, are essential components of this role.
Key Skills and Requirements
* Excellent communication skills to identify quality and safety issues.
* Ability to work both office-based and in clinical areas, requiring physical activity.
* Outstanding customer care and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated approach.
* Experience in customer service, especially handling challenging patient feedback.
* Ability to manage own timescales, work independently, and problem-solve daily.
* Computer skills including creating and managing Excel reports; experience with design programs like Canva or Microsoft Forms is advantageous.
Additional Information
This role is primarily based at Scunthorpe General Hospital with cross-site work at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, and Goole and District Hospital (transport provided).
