We are recruiting System / Principal Engineers and Technical Directors for a growing Engineering Safety Consultancy with a focus on Maritime, Naval, Nuclear, and Submarine sectors.
System Engineers – Mid-Level to Senior
Responsible for delivery across complex, hazardous projects in highly regulated fields such as nuclear, maritime, aviation, or ordnance. Capable of leading small teams and working with minimal supervision. Must have strategic thinking abilities and maintain quality assurance and partnerships.
The Job Duties include:
* Empowering teams of engineers to deliver technical aspects of projects
* Collaborative working with minimal supervision
* Undertaking activities as directed by Technical Directors and Principal Engineers
* Conducting complex technical investigations
* Articulating project outcomes to stakeholders
* Providing technical guidance to peers
* Maintaining customer relations and quality assurance
Principal Engineer
Responsible for leadership and delivery in complex, hazardous projects. Must be self-motivated, a Subject Matter Expert, and able to transfer skills to new technologies. Strategic insight into company’s future is essential.
The Job Duties include:
* Directing and motivating staff
* Managing complex technical projects
* Guiding engineers and fostering development
* Using evidence to inform, negotiate, and innovate
* Communicating proposals and outcomes
* Identifying market opportunities and reducing risks
Qualifications:
* BEng degree with postgraduate knowledge
* Recognized as a Technical Expert
* Chartered Engineer (UK Engineering Council)
* Member of a UK Professional Engineering Institution
Technical Director – Nuclear/Maritime/Aviation
Leads talented teams, with experience in senior management and strategic planning. Demonstrates strategic thinking, effective communication, and leadership skills. Responsible for defining, driving, and delivering strategic initiatives during a period of growth.
The Job Duties include:
* Leading staff and resource allocation
* Ensuring business continuity
* Staff development and empowerment
* Influencing strategic policies
* Liaising with the Board of Directors
Qualifications:
* BEng degree with postgraduate knowledge
* Recognized as a Technical Expert
* Chartered Engineer (UK Engineering Council)
* Member or Fellow of a UK Professional Engineering Institution
* 15+ years’ experience in a regulated engineering discipline
