About you
You're an experienced graphic designer who's worked agency-side or freelance, and might be a mid-weight looking for your first lead opportunity. You can articulate your creative thinking clearly, present concepts with confidence, and build trust with senior stakeholders. You're curious about digital innovation – maybe you've dabbled in video, animation, or AI design tools. You're excited by the prospect of building something from the ground up and being the person who sets the standard for creative excellence.
What you’ll be working on
* Design compelling campaign assets such as slide deck/pitch deck creation, social media, websites, email campaigns, landing pages
* Support the Strategy Director in evolving visual identities for clients, from concepting through to final guidelines and asset libraries
* Create print materials for events, including branded collateral, signage, and attendee materials
* Partner closely with Account Managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and client expectations
* Support the Strategy Director to manage freelance designers – ensure work is briefed correctly, provide brand guidelines, ensure quality standards, provide feedback
* Build and maintain organised asset libraries and brand guidelines for each client
* Collaborate with Make the Break's internal team to understand client needs and campaign objectives
* Present design concepts and rationale to internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, directly to clients
Required skills and experience
* Expert knowledge of Creative Cloud Applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
* Experience creating sales pitch decks
* Knowledge of print and artwork set‑up, not just digital
* Background in agency‑side or freelance design
* Clear articulation and communication of work and vision
* Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
* Experience building trust with senior client stakeholders, acting as a critical friend and expert advisor
* Strong team collaboration and leadership skills
* Curiosity and interest in digital innovation
* Clear communication about project status, capacity, and potential delivery challenges
* Positive, curious, and able to take feedback and move forward with it
Desirable but not essential
* Video or animation experience
* AI design techniques and tools (Firefly, MidJourney, Leonardo, Dall‑e)
* Ability to lead projects from ideation to execution
