This individual is responsible for managing process development projects aligned with the group's mission of supporting new product introduction, quality improvement of existing products, cost optimization of processes, and expanding the process technology knowledge base. The role involves analyzing and documenting results, building capabilities through new technical and technological advancements, and ensuring effective project execution and communication with the Business Team, Management, and the McCormick technical community. The individual will maintain working relationships with Product Development, Marketing, Marketing Research, Sales, Packaging, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Corporate Laboratories, and the TIC Process Development Group.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage three direct reports.
2. Lead process development and support new product introduction projects.
3. Oversee daily project operations.
4. Serve as the key contact for teams and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient communication.
5. Gather and share specifications and standards with the project team.
6. Define roles and responsibilities within the team and involve external expertise as needed.
7. Participate in FMEA, FAT/SAT, and update project status to stakeholders.
8. Ensure projects meet expectations regarding product specifications and line efficiency, with post-project reports.
9. Standardize processes and programs by documenting specifications through SOPs.
10. Build technical and technological capabilities from process changes, including skill qualification systems.
11. Manage CAAP with a technology roadmap, budget planning, and capital justification documentation.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Experience in Project Management within food processing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
* Ability to manage a team is advantageous.
* Knowledge of product and process change management.
* Strong project management skills.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills across various functions and external stakeholders.
* Ethical behavior and professional maturity.
* Ability to coordinate cross-functional workstreams.
* Flexibility to adapt in complex, ambiguous, and fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
