Job Summary
To support our teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Site Financial Controller located in Warrington, UK.
Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, the Site Financial Controller advises management on financial performance, identifies trends, and recommends cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities, risks, and profitability strategies.
What a typical day looks like:
* The Site Financial Controller manages the finance department of eleven colleagues, with two direct reports (Finance Manager and Collection/AP Manager), reporting to the Regional Finance Director.
* Responsible for 5 UK reporting entities, including a dormant pension.
* Works closely with the General Manager as part of the management team.
* Establishes or recommends strategies, objectives, and policies for the company.
* Prepares reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position, including new business quote appraisals.
* Guides and supports the Finance Team to develop their skills, working closely with GBS, the global business service center in India.
* Prepares budgets, forecasts, and supporting documentation.
* Evaluates profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
* Provides management with timely reviews of financial status and program progress.
* Advises on operational adjustments, trends, and improvements, including cost savings and profitability strategies.
* Analyzes financial information for current and future performance.
* Leads internal/external audits, ensures compliance with corporate policies, SOX, internal controls, and tax reporting.
The experience we’re looking for:
* BSc/MSc in finance or accounting or equivalent experience.
* Approximately 7-8 years of related experience.
* Background in manufacturing/cost accounting preferred.
* ACCA, CIMA, US GAAP training preferred.
* Strong people management skills.
* Fluent and confident in English.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
