The team of 5, within a department of 9, supports both routine and reactive maintenance across 4 buildings. The work is varied and often unpredictable, with frequent refurbishments and new facilities being created in line with project requirements. Key Responsibilities * Carry out electrical installations, inspections, testing, and fault-finding * Maintain accurate electronic records of testing and completed works * Organise and liaise with external contractors, ensuring safe and efficient delivery * Supervise electrical and mechanical service/maintenance contractors as required * Respond to maintenance requests via the Building Services call logging system * Investigate problems, apply temporary fixes, and arrange permanent solutions * Contribute to Health & Safety initiatives and support wider maintenance duties * Assist with permit-to-work systems, including out-of-hours work when needed * Join the out-of-hours response rota in line with policy * Provide technical electrical support to line managers * Undertake other reasonable tasks requested by your line manager About You We’re looking for someone who is both technically skilled and a strong team player. You’ll need: Qualifications & Certification: * Fully qualified electrician (C&G Level 2 in Electrical Installations or NVQ equivalent) * IEE 18th Edition certification * City & Guilds Electrical Inspection and Testing (prefeered or willing to attain) Experience & Skills: * Hands-on experience across a wide range of electrical work * Ability to work independently, prioritise, and meet deadlines * Strong team player with a proactive, adaptable attitude * Clear and confident communicator (polite, reliable, punctual, self-motivated) * Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations * Competence in basic numeracy, literacy, and IT systems * Strong customer service mindset * Experience in large commercial or industrial facilities (advantageous) Other requirements: * Eligible to work in the UK without restrictions (as per UK National Law) * Able to meet UK Government National Security Vetting criteria Training provided in key areas including hand tools, power tools, access equipment, and forklift trucks.
