One of my local government clients is seeking an experienced Housing Solutions Officers to provide interim support to our busy Housing Team. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of individuals and families facing housing challenges, while working within a well-established local authority. The Role: As a Housing Solutions Officer, you will provide comprehensive housing advice and support to customers who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. You will be responsible for managing a caseload, developing Personalised Housing Plans, and making legally sound decisions under housing legislation. Key Responsibilities: * Conducting initial assessments and writing Personalised Housing Plans * Delivering advice on housing options, tenancy rights, and welfare benefits * Making homelessness decisions in line with relevant legislation and case law * Referring clients to accommodation services, including temporary housing * Collaborating with external agencies and service providers * Managing caseloads with a focus on prevention and sustainable outcomes * Maintaining accurate records in line with data protection standards What We’re Looking For: * Solid experience in homelessness casework and prevention * Strong working knowledge of housing and homelessness law (e.g. HRA 2017, Housing Act) * Familiarity with welfare benefits and tenancy-related advice * Experience working with vulnerable individuals with empathy and professionalism * Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills * A flexible, problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently * Able to commute to Worcester City offices approx. 2 days per week If interested in this role please send your CV to Lee-Jaun at Coyle Personnel Ltd
