Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support a mainstream school in the BL4 area of Bolton. This position involves working within the school’s exclusion unit, providing targeted behaviour support, and offering additional classroom-based assistance when required. The Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will: Support pupils who are at risk of exclusion or presenting challenging behaviours Work within a small, focused exclusion provision to help reintegrate pupils back into lessons Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions Assist in classrooms alongside teachers and SEN staff Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and emotional regulation Contribute to behaviour plans and personalised support strategies Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with: Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including SEMH, complex behaviours, and learning difficulties Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach Experience in a school, PRU, alternative provision, or youth work (highly desirable) A genuine desire to make a positive difference to young people’s lives What Teaching Personnel Offer Immediate start Competitive daily pay rates, paid weekly Access to CPD training including behaviour management, safeguarding, and SEN courses A dedicated consultant for ongoing support throughout your placement Opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent roles All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
