Work Schedule Other Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials Job Description We are hiring a team leader to join our manufacturing team at the Inchinnan site As the Team Leader you will be responsible for the activities of a department on shift to assure production employees are always safe, making product to quality standards and in turn meeting schedule and equipment efficiency service requirements. You must effectively communicate information to supervisor, managers, and colleagues, relative to the condition of the facility equipment and personnel performance. You will also be able to provide suggestions for problem prevention / resolution as well as performing duties in such a way as to build an optimum cost-benefit ratio. Education: Higher Grade, English, Math's and at least one Science subject required, relevant work experience will be considered. NPA Applied Science or similar science-based college qualification. IOSH Managing Safely, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) or above, knowledge of cGMP and safety (OSHA) regulations, experience working to a Quality management System (QMS) would also be suitable. Experience: Experience in a similar industry is preferable with proven experience spent working in a high throughput manufacturing environment, warehouse, or distribution operation. Management experience of a team of around 10 people required. Must embrace a high paced working environment and show passion for our industry. Must be driven to continuously improve and fully engage the team in any initiatives undertaken to improve Team environment: You will have contact with all Cell Culture employees as well as other functions within the operation. Part of your role will involve liaising extensively with supervisors and managers from all work streams and independently connect with all other departments on matters relating to safety, quality, and service, to uphold the Company's dedication to Customer satisfaction. You will work with people at all levels within the organization and it may involve interaction with customers during site visits. Involvement mean building multiple contacts with at least five other operational departments. E.g Planning/Quality/EHS/Operational excellence/manufacturing sciences. Working Conditions: Working in an environment which has different types of gowning requirements for graded and non-graded areas. Will be manufacturing floor based predominantly but required to do desk related duties also. Required to maintain a safe working environment with hazardous materials. Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern. Additional front line leader training will be given to candidates.
