Mobile Security Engineer (Contract)

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Mobile Security Engineer to play a pivotal role in strengthening the security posture of our mobile platform. You will be responsible for designing and delivering a robust, scalable security framework that protects mobile applications across the organisation.
This role sits within a dedicated mobile security team that provides a comprehensive suite of security components and services, including penetration testing, obfuscation, and security consultancy. The team’s mission is to enable mobile engineers to build and deliver features confidently in a constantly evolving threat landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and enhance a world-class mobile security framework
* Conduct threat modelling and implement effective mitigation strategies
* Perform regular security reviews of mobile applications
* Develop and maintain penetration testing tools, scripts, and processes
* Provide security consultancy and guidance to mobile engineering teams
* Stay ahead of emerging threats through research and continuous improvement
* Support and enhance services such as penetration testing and security assessments
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in mobile application security (Android & iOS)
* Proven expertise in threat modelling and risk mitigation techniques
* Hands-on experience reviewing and improving mobile security posture
* Experience developing pen-testing tools, scripts, and security frameworks
* In-depth knowledge of mobile security standards and best practices
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with mobile development environments
* Experience with DevSecOps tooling and automation frameworks
* Strong understanding of:
* Authentication & authorisation
* Encryption & cryptography principles
* Experience using mobile security testing tools
* Proactive mindset with interest in emerging security technologies
