Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker
Requirements
* Days, Evenings, Weekends, Bank Holidays
* Level 3 in childrens residential care (Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Health & Social Care children and young people pathway)
* Right to live and work in the UK
* Over 21 years old
* Driving licence
* Ability to work long shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Experience working in children’s residential care (minimum 1 year desirable)
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s welfare
About the role
As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you’ll take a lead role on shift, supporting and mentoring your team while providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people.
Key responsibilities
* Leading and coordinating daily shift planning and care delivery
* Supporting staff and contributing to performance assessments
* Promoting safeguarding and maintaining a safe home environment
* Encouraging young people to engage in education, social, and community activities
* Supporting healthy lifestyles, including meal preparation and personal care
* Contributing to reports, plans, and risk assessments
* Ensuring compliance with care regulations and health & safety guidelines
* Role modelling professional conduct and high standards of care
* Attending meetings and training sessions
* Transporting young people to appointments, education, and activities
