Are you an experienced Welding Engineer looking to take on a technical leadership role?
Boccard UK is seeking a Welding & NDT Subject Matter Expert to join our Quality team. You will act as the technical authority for welding and non-destructive testing across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and driving continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead welding and NDT strategy across nuclear and high-integrity fabrication projects.
* Develop and maintain welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WQR).
* Provide technical support and mentoring to site teams.
* Conduct audits, manage consumables, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
* Drive “Right First Time” performance and quality KPIs.
* Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, including handling technical queries and exemption requests.
What We’re Looking For:
* Essential:
* ✔ IWE or EWE certification OR a Master’s degree in Welding Engineering.
* ✔ Minimum 5 years’ experience as a subject matter expert in welding/NDT.
* ✔ Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (EN ISO, RCC-M).
* Desirable:
* ✔ PCN Level III in at least two NDT methods.
* ✔ CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2
* ✔ Experience in nuclear or high-integrity sectors (preferred but not essential).
