GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Supervisors to work in schools across Northumberland.
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play an important role in supervising students, encouraging positive behaviour, and supporting a welcoming atmosphere throughout the school day. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students’ wellbeing and ensuring a calm and safe school environment during break times.
Responsibilities of a Lunchtime Supervisor:
* Supervise students during lunch breaks, both indoors and outdoors
* Promote positive behaviour and ensure student safety at all times
* Encourage positive social interaction and inclusion among students
* Assist students where required during lunchtime activities
* Monitor dining halls, playgrounds, and designated school areas
* Report incidents, accidents, or concerns to relevant school staff
* Support school safeguarding and behaviour policies
* Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive environment
Requirements of a Lunchtime Supervisor:
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* A friendly, patient, and approachable manner
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
* Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
