Employment Lawyer (5 PQE) – Outstanding Hybrid Flexibility Work from the office weekly or just once a month – the choice is yours An opportunity has arisen for an experienced employment lawyer to join a specialist employment practice advising a strong base of regional and national employer clients. This role would suit a lawyer with 5 years’ PQE or more (ideally 8 years) who enjoys high quality respondent work and is looking for a position offering genuine flexibility, autonomy and excellent quality work within a supportive boutique environment. The practice was founded by highly experienced employment Partners with strong reputations in the market and a well-established client base. The Role You will advise employer clients across the full spectrum of employment law matters including day-to-day advisory work, Employment Tribunal litigation, strategic HR support for businesses and corporate support on employment aspects of transactions. The client base includes a mix of regional and national organisations across a variety of sectors. There is also scope to build your own niche, sector focus or client relationships around areas of employment law that particularly interest you. Exceptional Hybrid Flexibility One of the most attractive aspects of this opportunity is the genuine flexibility around office attendance and working hours. There is no rigid hybrid policy. Instead, lawyers are trusted to work in a way that suits them and their circumstances. Some lawyers attend the office 2–3 days per week, others prefer once a week, and some attend once a month. The approach is entirely individual and flexible, recognising that lawyers often have important responsibilities outside of work such as childcare, family commitments or other personal responsibilities. Working Environment This is a boutique practice that places far greater emphasis on quality of work and client service than internal metrics. Key features include no fee targets, a collaborative and supportive team culture, high quality respondent work, freedom to shape and grow your own practice and flexible working hours. Candidate Profile The team is keen to speak with employment lawyers who have at least 5 years’ PQE in employment law (ideally more), experience advising employer clients, confidence running matters independently and an interest in developing client relationships and building their own practice. Lawyers currently operating at Senior Associate level or above are particularly encouraged to apply.
