We're looking for passionate, technically skilled professionals to join us as Technical Solutions Engineers, based at our iconic RAC Bescot office. As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in providing real-time technical solutions to all RAC's teams, specifically frontline colleagues, ensuring effective vehicle repair and resolutions through expert advice and intelligent deployment decisions. What you'll do Deliver expert technical solutions via multiple communication channels to colleagues across the business Utilise the technical tool kit to support and influence roadside deployment decisions to optimise job resolution and correct resource alignment Provide live dynamic diagnostic assistance to roadside teams, delivering positive customer outcomes with a first-time solution to improve efficiency and productivity Support contact centre teams with remote resolutions to remove attendances that do not require a resource Maintain, manage and enhance the technical knowledge base across the RAC Occasionally support at roadside or other office locations where required What you'll need A minimum NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Engineering (essential) Master technician qualification or equivalent experience (desired) High voltage EV systems qualification (desired) Proven experience in diagnosis and repair, with strong use of diagnostic tools and software Excellent communication skills and a methodical approach to problem solving. A good understanding of operations and deployment systems within a roadside or workshop setting a proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. What you'll get with the RAC RAC offers breakdown support 24 hours a day 365 days a year to its members, as a result The Technical Solutions team are rostered Monday to Sunday between 7am - 9pm based on a 4 on, 4 off shifts in a work pattern of 40 hours weekly. There is a requirement for flexibility as the operating hours of the core operation is 0600 – 2300 where additional support may be required.
