Programme Overview:

The Global Risk Development Summer Analyst Programme is a 10-week programme that will introduce you to Bank of America and the Global Risk Management (GRM) group.

As a Summer Analyst, you will be offered a curriculum that focuses on the management of our seven types of risk — strategic, market, credit, compliance, liquidity, operational, and reputational — to build a strong platform to launch your career. Our goal for summer interns is to have the opportunity to build upon their academic foundation – specifically technical skills, industry knowledge and familiarity with a corporate environment – while pursuing their career based on their interests and background.

Training and Development:

Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

Responsibilities:

As a Summer analyst, you will be provided with the opportunity to work on various tasks necessary for the management of market, financial, compliance, operational enterprise risks and other types of risk. You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to products traded across various markets including credit, interest rate, foreign exchange, equities, and commodities.

Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

* Working with Risk Managers to manage the company's various risk exposures arising from its business operations in accordance with the Risk Framework
* Supporting the lines of business to establish risk management policies, limits, standards, controls, metrics, and thresholds, within the defined corporate standards.
* Developing emerging risk assessments, risk scenario analysis, and risk modeling where applicable
* Managing specialist projects and processes related to risk management.
* Providing training, assessing regulatory developments, and implementing policies
* Promoting a culture across the company where risk management is embraced as vital to achieving responsible growth.

Eligibility:

* Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between September 2026 and July 2027. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation. Please note that we reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date before extending an offer
* Achieved minimum of 112 UCAS point (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
* Must be available to join the programme from June 2026 to August 2026.

Candidates who perform well during the internship may be offered full time employment to commence in July 2027; some lines of business may also offer the opportunity of a January or April start date. You must be available to join on one of these start dates if offered, unfortunately we are unable to offer deferrals.
