Equans is looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join our team in Southampton Combined Court, SO15 2XQ, on a permanent basis covering multiple sites in the Hampshire area and Isle of Wight. This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week with a salary of £27,775.00 per annum and a comprehensive benefits package.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday 8am‑5pm. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of business, which may require early starts or late finishes.
Company van and fuel card provided.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage cleaning teams across HMCTS sites to keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety.
* Supervise cleaning teams, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service across a large‑scale government contract.
* Maintain a professional manner with all members of staff and the general public.
* Attend to any required early starts or late finishes as business demands.
* Ensure compliance with safety policies and cleanliness standards.
BPSS Requirements
Must undergo BPSS level vetting, including DBS clearance. Ability to pass is essential.
* Identity verification: passport, photo ID, birth certificate, etc.
* Employment history (past 3 years); gaps require HMRC statements.
* Right to work status in the UK: citizenship or valid share code.
* Unspent criminal record: disclosure of any unspent convictions.
* Significant periods abroad: any periods of 6+ months spent abroad in the past 3 years.

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in supervising a cleaning team across multiple locations (essential)
* Knowledge of COSHH and basic health and safety principles
* Ability to motivate a cleaning team to achieve a consistent specified standard of cleaning
* Good communication and customer care skills
* Team player with a proactive approach
* Basic knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office systems
