About the Role
As a Senior Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer, you will be responsible for leading two shift engineers, leading projects and providing hands on PPM and OEE support to the company's flagship Trafford Park manufacturing site.
Responsibilities
* Manage the engineering shift of 2 direct reports, to provide maximum availability of all production plant and support equipment.
* Implement initiatives that drive out costs, improve OEE and waste reduction.
* Ensure that the engineering team operates to maximise machine uptime, planned maintenance, health and safety, quality culture, hygiene, and budgetary requirements.
* Carry out PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance across the factory.
Qualifications
* Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Multi skilled) - NVQ or BTEC equivalent, HNC (desirable) with demonstrable mechanical & electrical maintenance skills.
Required Skills
* Proven leadership and team management expertise.
* Experience in managing contractors and issuing permit-to-work procedures.
* Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS).
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience of leading projects is essential.
* Experience of working within a highly regulated/audited site.
Pay range and compensation package
Attractive salary, £60,500 pa + 5% bonus, £3000 joining bonus, Continental Shift Pattern, 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off.
