Product Designer - Edinburgh
Strengthening talent and culture is one of our strategic priorities. We strive to make Aberdeen a great place to work so that we can attract and retain the industry’s best talent.

Our people put our stakeholders at the heart of everything they do by helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of our clients, customers, colleagues, shareholders, and society.

We are focused on growing our direct and advised wealth platforms and repositioning our specialist asset management business to meet client demand. We are committed to providing excellent client service, supported by leading technology and talent.

Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

Join a forward-thinking team at the heart of Aberdeen’s Adviser business, where we lead the end-to-end design, discovery, and delivery of cutting-edge digital products and services for Financial Advice firms.
You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, autonomy, and a growth mindset, helping us stay at the forefront of the market as we design digital experiences that supercharge advice firms to delight their clients.

As a Product Designer, you’ll help shape how we discover, design, and deliver value across our digital products for Financial Advice firms. You’ll turn insight into clear journeys, flows, and interfaces—raising the quality and coherence of the experience and making it easier for advisers and clients to get things done.
You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Content Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and other Designers from discovery through delivery. Translate research and insight into clear flows, wireframes, and content that solve real user needs in context.
Communicate design decisions clearly, seek feedback early, and iterate based on evidence and team input.
Apply accessibility and inclusive design best practices, and ensure designs are ready for compliance review.
Contribute to our design system—reusing patterns where it makes sense and suggesting enhancements when it doesn’t.
help plan, observe, and synthesise findings to inform what we ship next.
Surface risks and dependencies early and contribute to the comms and artefacts that help teams launch with confidence.

Experience delivering product design in agile, product‑led teams.
Comfortable working with a design system and contributing thoughtfully to shared patterns.
Familiar with planning and acting on usability testing and other research methods.
Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design standards, and how to apply them day‑to‑day.
Collaborative, proactive, and resilient—keeps momentum when priorities shift.
