About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Programme Manager to take ownership of programme management across one or more major transformation workstreams. In this role, you’ll work closely with Functional Leads and Sponsors across areas such as Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Retail, Property, IT, Legal, and Compliance to ensure successful delivery of all programme outcomes. You will drive structured, sustainable change that becomes fully embedded into organisational ways of working.
You will also play a key role in building and embedding programme management capability, helping the organisation mature its approach to transformation and change.
Key Responsibilities
• Define programme resources, RACI, and governance structures, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
• Oversee programme finances and benefits realisation in collaboration with Finance partners.
• Chair and facilitate working groups and Sponsor sessions, ensuring alignment across BAU and transformation initiatives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Functional Leads and delivery teams to encourage collaborative, high-performing ways of working.
• Champion end-to-end change, embedding change management methodology and promoting sustainable new ways of working.
• Partner with Workstream Sponsors to integrate the Transformation Office within functional leadership and foster a strong One Team culture.
• Ensure all changes maintain safety and legal compliance, including colleague training and policy updates.
About You
• Proven experience in programme management within complex, enterprise-level transformation environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience leading change initiatives, with strong understanding of governance, change management, and benefits realisation.
• Collaborative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving; confident in challenging norms and driving continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working in an agile environment and adept at managing complexity and ambiguity.
• A positive “Can Do” attitude with a passion for coaching and mentoring.
