We are seeking a passionate placement student to join our growing team at Octopus Energy's heat pump factory in Portadown, Northern Ireland.
As a Manufacturing placement student, you will play a crucial role with the use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
What you will do:
* Hands on support to design and implement material presentation
* Study and refine manufacturing processes
* Design and build manufacturing aids/jigs
* Design and implementation of engineering systems and infrastructure
* Collaborate with cross functional teams, supporting problem solving investigations and the introduction of new products and processes
* Drive a continuous improvement ethic
* Process validation studies
What you will need:
* Currently enrolled on a university degree in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering and requiring a 12-month placement.
* Ability to be on-site every day at our Portadown heat pump factory ( 37.5Hrs )
* Good communication skills
* Clear and concise writing skills
* In depth knowledge of working with hand/power tools
