HGV Technician Location: Bradford Day shifts: Monday to Friday 45-50 hours per week flexible between 5am -8pm - 1 in 2 Saturdays 8am-12pm Rate : up to £19.50 per hour About your new company My client is a well-established and family-owned logistics business who have been operating for over 10 years. The successful HGV Technician will report to the Transport Manager and will be responsible for maintaining HGV’s and enhancing the performance of their fleet of 100 Vehicles. As an integral part of their operation, you will also be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. About your new HGV Technician role • You will maintain a mixed fleet of rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers to the highest standard and in line with DVSA requirements • Vehicle and Trailer inspections • MOT preparation to DVSA standards • Brake testing at every inspection • Fault finding and repairs • Use of diagnostic equipment The successful HGV Technician will require • Qualification in City and Guilds HGV Part 1, 2 & 3 or NVQ level 3 equivalent or a time served HGV Technician • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HGV Mechanic (post qualification) preferably within a fleet environment • Large Goods Vehicle experience is essential • Class 1 or Class 2 is Desirable • Flexible approach to work • Health & Safety awareness • Excellent time-keeping skills Next steps If you are an experienced HGV Technician and would like to find out more about this exciting role, please reply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV or call Chris at Kemp Recruitment on 07718937245 for further information
