The Role of the Design Draughtsperson:
As a Design Draughtsperson, you’ll play a crucial role in turning ideas into practical, precision-engineered designs. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, supporting technical documentation, and collaborating across teams to ensure designs are efficient and ready for manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creating detailed 2D and 3D design drawings and models using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
* Producing comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs and assembly instructions.
* Collaborating with engineering and production teams to refine designs and ensure manufacturability.
* Managing revision control and maintaining a clear, organised file management system.
* Supporting quality assurance by reviewing drawings and eliminating design discrepancies.
* Staying current with drafting standards and software developments to drive continuous improvement.
About You:
* Mechanical Engineering qualifications
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
* Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault
