Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Thames Water and Anglian Water regions
Contracted hours: 42 per week (Monday-Friday) | Competitive salary | Paid travel time in addition to contracted hours
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a leading firm in the water treatment sector. Our client is looking for an ambitious individual with a strong industrial background to support long-term projects and make a significant impact within the sector.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the mechanical supervisor and a team of mechanical fitters to ensure projects are completed to a high standard, safely and in line with the programme.
* Collaborate with the design team and Compliance Manager to ensure all works comply with client specifications and relevant standards.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislation.
* Oversee that all installations meet the highest standards and comply with the project quality plan.
* Ensure all project documentation is completed to the required standard and ready for O&M handover.
* Mentor and coach supervisors and mechanical fitters.
* Work effectively as part of a growing and dynamic team.
About You
* SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent.
* CSCS or CCNSG.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Relevant trade qualifications.
* Ability to interpret mechanical installation drawings (e.g., GA, P&ID's).
* Experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer or Supervisor.
* Ability to manage your own workload and project tasks with minimal supervision.
Desirable Qualifications
* Emergency First Aid or First Aider certification.
* Fitness-to-work medical.
* EUSR Water Hygiene.
* 2391 Test and Inspection.
* PASMA/IPAF/Confined Space.
* COMPEX.
* Industrial experience.
