Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant Location: Padiham Contract Type: Full-time Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour Start Date: As soon as possible The Role We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside teachers and practitioners to support children aged 4–5, helping them to achieve their early learning goals and ensuring that their well-being, happiness, and safety remain at the heart of everything we do. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher and EYFS staff in delivering engaging and purposeful learning opportunities. Provide one-to-one and small group support for children, including those with additional needs. Assist in creating an inspiring, safe and stimulating learning environment, both indoors and outdoors. Encourage independence, curiosity, and positive behaviour in line with the school’s values. Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. About You We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development. Patient, caring, and approachable with a positive attitude. Able to work well as part of a team but also show initiative when needed. Knowledgeable about the EYFS framework and early childhood development. Ideally qualified to Level 2/3 in Childcare or equivalent (or working towards).
