Job title – Works Supervisor
Contract type: Fixed Term Appointment, Ends March 2029 (possibility of extension or permanency).
Hours: 37 hours per week
What You’ll Do
The Works Supervisor will plan, deliver and supervise work programmes for contractors and staff to ensure compliance with the UK Forestry Standard and UK Woodland Assurance Standard. They will assist in setting and maintaining standards in all aspects of forest and woodland management to help meet business plan targets.
Where you’ll work
The post covers the Cleveland beat, initially based at Forestry England's Yorkshire Office in Pickering, moving to the Dalby Forest Office in autumn 2027. Regular travel within Yorkshire and occasional out‑of‑region trips for Forestry England‑wide meetings, which may require an overnight stay, will be expected.
