We are currently working on behalf of a Public-Sector body based in Belfast to recruit an Architectural Technologist to join their small works projects team on a temporary contract basis for an initial period of 9-12 months.
Your new role
This is an initial 9 month contract position with the likelihood of extension and potential to secure a permanent post in the medium term.
The role is based at this organisation’s office in Belfast with the opportunity to work from home.
The main duties of this role are:
To provide a full architectural design service in respect of maintenance and refurbishment work across the portfolio of properties;
Management of the design process utilising the RIBA design work-stages and any other prescribed approach, and to assist in the consistent application of the unit’s project-management methodology;
Assisting in the development ofprehensive design briefs in liaison with the relevant project managers, building occupiers and other stake-holders;
Obtaining any necessary statutory approvals related to architectural designs, including the production and submission of all related documentation;
The provision of technical support and advice on all aspects of the maintenance and refurbishment of building fabric; and the preparation of full design packages for use in procurement exercises.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must have:
A National Qualifications Framework Level 5 qualification in an architectural or construction related discipline such as a BTEC Higher National Certificate Award in Architectural Technology or a BTEC Higher National Certificate Award in Construction, or an equivalent qualification and one year’s relevant experience gained within an architect’s office;
And havepleted a certificated industry standard training course inputer-Aided Design (CAD) and one year’s practical relevant experience, since qualification, of usingputer-Aided Design (CAD) applications to develop architectural designs.

£35,700 - £37,300 pro rata, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
35 days annual leave including bank holidays.
