Senior Manager - Employee Relations
Location: Bristol (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
Salary: £80,000-90,000 (Plus car allowance, bonus and great benefits)
Job Type: Permanent
Latham & Bond HR are working with a communications organisation to appoint an Employee Relations Senior Manager. In this role you will be working with a team of 30 reports, managing a large volume of cases, measuring success through KPI’s and driving improvement and culture change whilst maintaining the highest levels dignity and respect in the ER processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive a culture of best-in-class PR practice, exemplifying group standards of behavior and values.
* Ensure high levels of service excellence, focusing on prevention, risk management, and embedding wellbeing and inclusion in all case activities.
* Provide coaching on high-profile and sensitive cases.
* Serve as an escalation point for ongoing cases, conducting thorough reviews and briefing stakeholders as needed.
* Partner with Occupational Health Physician team
* Support the relationship between People Relations Partners and Case Teams, ensuring operational excellence, swift case management, responsive escalation, and effective solutions.
* Oversee case data, ensuring team compliance with all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), including governance and compliance.
* Manage service performance by tracking KPIs and SLA compliance across case teams.
* Maintain the relationship with legal, utilizing data and feedback from Employment Tribunals (ETs) and ACAS Early Conciliation (EC) to drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with Inclusion & Wellbeing, fostering relationships with People Networks to stay updated and ensure strong connections.
* Work with the ER Strategy & ER Team, sharing data and insights to aid policy reviews and improvements.
* Produce and deliver MI and insights presentations, highlighting case load, themes, and trends to support prevention and continuous improvement activities.
* Lead and deliver Service Reviews, obtaining two-way feedback from key stakeholders on successes and areas for improvement.

* Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead a high-performing employee relations team.
* Employee Relations Expertise: Deep knowledge of case-related ER practices and policies.
* Legal and Compliance Knowledge: Experience working with employment law and compliance aspects of ER.
* Data Management: Proficiency in developing and managing dashboards and performance metrics.
* People Management: Extensive skills in managing, leading, and influencing people.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with various teams and functions.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in creating and delivering presentations using PowerPoint.
