The Role

Thorn Baker are looking for a talented, motivated and experienced setter to join our clients growing team and help them deliver high quality plastic components to their customers worldwide. As an injection moulding setter, you will play a pivotal part by performing efficient tool changes, setting state of the art machines and working with their internal customers. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead by example.Working Hours: (Alternating Weeks)
1. Monday to Thursday 22:00pm - 6:00am
2. Friday 20:00pm - 3:00am

3. £32,500 + 33% Shift Allowance = £43,225

About the Company:
Our client is an international manufacturing company, who have significant global presence. They have 500 retail stores worldwide and they also have a strong online presence.
They are one of the biggest Video game and Board games makers and producers on the globe!
Your Responsibilities:
9. Carry out all necessary tool, material and colour changes within an injection moulding environment
10. You must be confident on machines from 50T to 320T with a keen eye for quality and solving problems that may arise.
11. Recommend modifications or improvements to increase productivity and quality
12. Ensure full compliance with all company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
13. Be flexible enough to assist colleagues and take on tasks that may not be part of your day-to-day activities.
14. Ensure all production, QMS data and visual standards are maintained and up to date.
Requirements:
15. Experienced at setter level or equivalent within the injection moulding environment
16. A minimum of 2 years in the injection moulding industry.
17. Experience working with Arburg machines and injection blow moulding.
18. A can-do attitude, approachable and a strong team player & able to work calm under pressure.
19. Able to effectively set up all approved production tools to the correct setting conditions and production work instructions.
20. Problem solving techniques within injection moulding.
