About the team
The IMA-HOME Finance team is a core function in the inner workings of the agency set up. We provide specialist services and advice across the business, supporting internally and externally.
Summary of the role
As an Assistant Accountant you will support the Financial Controller and assist in the thorough analysis of all ledgers and control accounts. You will drive forward the necessary transactions required within the accounting systems in order to allow the timely and accurate completion of monthly management accounts by the wider Finance team.
Some key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant role include :
* Analyse and review both Accounts Payable & Receivable ledgers in order to Identify areas requiring attention and actions required
* Preparation and posting of journals and Invoices into Sage and Xero
* Production of balance sheet reconciliations
* Ensure that finance department deadlines are strictly adhered to
* Assist with ad-hoc financial analyses and reports
* Assisting with any duties reasonably expected in Finance to cover holidays / sickness – for instance, checking sales invoices
* To assist in the continual process improvement within the department, to constantly be looking for ways to streamline work tasks
