We’re working with a specialist SEN school in Sunderland supporting students aged 11–19 with autism and complex learning needs. It’s a setting where patience, consistency, and a calm approach matter more than years of experience.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
* Helping pupils build confidence, communication, and independence
* Learning how to support students with autism and additional needs
* Working alongside experienced staff who will guide you day to day
What we’re looking for:
* A caring, reliable attitude
* Willingness to learn and get stuck in
* Experience with young people (even informal, coaching, care, family support) is a bonus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
