Rising Hope Education are working closely with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Dagenham, who are seeking a compassionate and skilled Learning Support Assistant to provide one to one support for a Year 2 pupil with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

About the Role
You will be supporting a bright and inquisitive Year 2 girl who presents with a range of additional needs. She requires a structured, nurturing environment and a teaching assistant who can offer calm guidance, reassurance, and skilled support throughout her day.
Your role will include:

Supporting communication, language and social development
*
Using sensory integration strategies to manage sensory needs and emotional regulation
*
Implementing visual timetables, structured routines and calming strategies
*
Providing sensitive support with toileting, feeding and personal care
*
Encouraging independence in self-care and mealtimes
*
Delivering fine motor skill activities such as dough therapy
*
Using practical, visual and story-based learning to aid understanding
*
Working closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals (including OT and SaLT teams)

Experience supporting children with Autism and speech and language needs

Confidence in providing personal care and toileting support

Understanding of sensory processing and how to adapt learning environments

Experience using visual supports and communication systems

A nurturing, patient and emotionally intelligent approach
