Host roles at 'Burro' Covent Garden
Opening early next year and hidden in a courtyard by Covent Garden market, 'Burro' is a brand new restaurant opening from the team behind Trullo, Islington's iconic and well loved restaurant.
This venture, led by chef- owner Conor Gadd, serves Italian food with a focus on simple, seasonally focused and adored dishes. A wine list which represents the classics whilst also exploring the lesser known Italian regions. All executed in a warm and atmospheric room. Led by a group of people who care deeply about hospitality, creating a warm and generous culture and operating with growth of it's people at it's core.

The role
* Manage reservations and seating plans, ensuring smooth service flow and attention to detail and guests needs
* Communicate with FOH management and kitchen to deliver a seamless dining experience as a unit
* Be the first impression of the restaurant, upholding values of warmth and professionalism
* Build lasting and unique relationships with guests turning first time visits into regular visits and dealing with requests efficiently and calmly
* Supervise and mentor front of house and junior host team members
* Become fluent with our menu, wines and service style with a focus on being able to answer any questions from guests
* Respond to and organise emails
* Deal with customer complaints effectively and empathetically
* Following procedure and listen to reasonable requests from the management team
* Feeding back to management any problems or positives
Requirements
* At least 1 year experience in a fast-paced, host role- But right cultural fit most important, an eagerness to learn and develop
* Experience with booking systems such as seven rooms, opentable and resy
* Email and phone adept
