We are currently looking for enthusiastic and self‑motivated candidates for the position of Deputy Head Housekeeper who will assist the Head Housekeeper in leading and coordinating all housekeeping areas of the hotel.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Executive Head Housekeeper in ensuring the housekeeping department operates within the brand guidelines and SOP manuals.
* Support training, leading, and inspiring the housekeeping team.
* Ensure a consistently high level of customer care is delivered.
* Achieve the set target for all housekeeping related audits.
* Log and act upon all guest requests and preferences to drive guest satisfaction.
* Maintain high staff satisfaction and manage turnover effectively.
* Ensure daily and monthly departmental meetings take place for high‑quality communication across the hotel.
* Maintain clear communication lines with the hotel and the company, fulfilling senior manager responsibilities.
* Conduct regular team member appraisals.
* Manage absence processes, ensuring coverage without interruption.
* Maintain, review, and keep Statutory Training Records up to date.
* Evaluate performance of all team members under your direction.
* Ensure staff are trained to the required standard, issues resolved, re‑training completed, and records maintained.
* Ensure staff are fully conversant with Health & Safety policies and procedures, attend relevant training and records are accurately kept.
* Ensure staff are trained and adhere to lost property policy.
* Liaise with HR on staff welfare or serious misconduct issues.
* Develop, maintain, and review housekeeping policies, best practice systems, and standards.
* Direct and manage the production and review of rotas to ensure adequate cover.
* Conduct quality inspections and manage improvement areas using the Omni Facilities Management quality app.
* Take responsibility for on‑site company assets, ensuring maintenance and service.
* Ensure all keys are signed out/in and regular key audits are completed.
* Assist with lost property management.
* Ensure all maintenance defects are reported and rectified.
* Promote a culture of minimising wastage.
* Ensure all guest laundry, dry cleaning is processed per hotel procedures, charges raised, documents completed.
* Ensure contract work (e.g., window cleaning) is completed within timeframe.
* Complete audits with Area Manager or Hotel General Manager, taking appropriate action.
* Store cleaning materials and guest supplies correctly.
* Check 75–95 rooms daily.
* Check all vacant ready rooms daily.
* Perform public areas and Linen Room quality checks.
* Maintain accurate records of hours of work, submit for timely payment of wages.
* Manage payroll questions and queries.
* Order stores in line with company budgets.
* Control bed linen and towels received/ sent, keep daily records.
Qualifications
* Previous Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Manager experience in a busy hotel environment.
* Previous people management experience.
* Experience managing budgets, analysing profit and loss.
* Desirable experience with Health & Safety matters.

Shift Pattern
