We are looking for a talented and professional Spa Therapist to join our team at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa. In this role, you will deliver high-quality spa and beauty treatments, ensuring every guest enjoys a relaxing and exceptional experience. You’ll play a key part in maintaining high treatment standards, supporting the day-to-day running of the spa, and contributing to its overall success through excellent customer service, smooth administration, and promoting retail products. This is a part-time position working 16 hours per week on a variable rota, including Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as every other Saturday and Sunday, in line with business needs.
A Level 3 NVQ in Beauty Therapy (or equivalent qualification) is essential for this role.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
Spa Operations
• Prepare the salon and treatment rooms to a high standard prior to opening and before each guest appointment.
• Ensure the salon is ready at opening times to welcome customers.
• Ensure all equipment, tools and products are clean, sanitised and ready for use.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all areas of the workplace to the highest standard.
• Provide beauty treatments in accordance with certification, training and professional standards.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standard, reporting any issues or faults immediately.
• Monitor salon stock levels through regular stock checks.
• Order equipment and materials with management approval, adhering to budget controls.
Guest Experience
• Deliver a range of spa and beauty treatments to a high professional standard.
• Ensure courteous, professional and prompt service at all times.
• Provide a warm, friendly and welcoming experience for all guests.
• Carry out consultations to tailor treatments to individual needs.
• Actively promote the salon, spa treatments and resort facilities.
• Upsell treatments, packages and retail products where appropriate.
• Handle guest enquiries and take bookings both in person and over the telephone.
• Always behave in a polite and professional manner as an ambassador for the company.
• Ensure client comfort, satisfaction and confidentiality at all times.
Team Support & Development
• Work collaboratively with the spa team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support colleagues during busy periods.
• Attend and participate in training sessions as required.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude within the team.
• Develop knowledge of all products and facilities offered by the company.
Financial Responsibilities
• Support the achievement of spa revenue targets through treatments and retail sales.
• Comply with standard operating till procedures ensuring all payments are processed and allocated correctly.
• Promote special offers and packages to maximise sales opportunities.
• Assist with stock control and cost awareness in line with budgetary requirements.
Administration & Compliance
• Complete all paperwork, client consultation forms and administration procedures accurately and on time.
• Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with personnel and payroll procedures promptly.
• Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures and employee handbook guidelines.
• Ensure personal appearance and hygiene meet company standards at all times.
• Maintain awareness of and comply with all health and safety requirements applicable to the role.
Working Environment / Physical Requirements
This role is based within a spa environment and involves standing for extended periods while delivering treatments. The role may require repetitive movements and the handling of spa equipment and products.
