This job will give you the flexibility to choose where you work from in the UK, as it’s fully remote.
You’ll work 20 hours a week, ideally 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday. However, if you’re the right person, a different work pattern will be considered.
Although everyone works remotely, this team focuses on supporting each other; staying connected with Slack. They use Mac, Google Workspace and the CRM HubSpot. So this might be a chance for you to develop your software skills.
What you can expect
* Encouragement to share your ideas and suggest any improvements.
* The autonomy to make decisions and execute them.
* A thorough online onboarding and a bespoke training plan.
* The opportunity to get to know your colleagues better via four in-person company get-togethers arranged each year (these are generally in Birmingham, so you’ll need to be able to get there via your own or public transport.)
The role
You will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial records, processing orders and platform subscription renewals, and maintaining spreadsheets to monitor sales. You’ll work alongside the Relationships and Sales teams and report to the director.
What you’ll be doing
* Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
* Managing accounts payable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
* Utilising Xero and Excel to manage financial data.
* Ensuring receivables are collected in line with invoice terms.
* Preparing financial reports and assisting with month-end closing activities.
* Providing support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
* Ensuring all customer records and renewal activities are accurately maintained and updated in HubSpot.
Required Skills
* Knowledge of accounts, particularly accounts payable, is essential. And you will need to know your way around Xero.
* The ability to work independently, manage your workload, and stay focused on your work, while also working collaboratively.
* A meticulous attention to detail with a focus on processes.
* A friendly approach – to build relationships with customers and provide a personal service.
The business
Created by a group of forward-thinking individuals, it is now a number one supplier to the education sector. It has excellent customer and employee retention, with notable growth over the last two years.
What else
You will receive 25 days of annual leave, pro rata, plus bank holidays, a BUPA health cash plan, and a death in service benefit. The full time equivalent salary for this role is £28000.
