This is an exciting opportunity for an adept Social Worker with a flair for assessment and intervention to join our team in sunny Torquay. Over a three-month period, you’ll work full‑time in a locum role, earning £42 per hour whilst providing invaluable support and guidance to children and their families.

What you will do:
* Manage a caseload of 20 to 24 cases, offering comprehensive assessments and implementing intervention strategies for complex Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases
* Work collaboratively with a dynamic team that includes a Team Manager, an Advanced Social Worker, and fellow Social Workers to deliver cohesive and effective social work interventions
* Attend the office in Torbay up to three times a week, with full‑time presence required during duty weeks, and remain on‑call for crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries
* Participate in a duty rota covering one full week every three weeks, ensuring robust support is available for urgent cases
* Engage in fortnightly supervision to refine your practice and operate within an environment of continuous learning
* Travel around Torbay and occasionally beyond to visit children and families placed outside of the county
