We're now looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation to help achieve operational standards and meet the agreed service level agreements.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* Demonstrate an active leadership style, taking full responsibility for driving an engagement culture in your area of responsibility
* Deal with HR processes in a timely manner, following the correct process and leveraging appropriate support when required.
* Understand the root causes of performance results and set actions with your direct reports and Operations Manager for improving the results
* Act as the first point of contact for the customer relating to site operation matters and build a good relationship to develop trust and ensure strong engagement
* Ensure the appropriate communication, understanding and compliance with all relevant DHL policies takes place
* Understand Health and Safety related risks in your area, take actions to eliminate or minimise these risks according to an agreed plan

* Coaching and active listening skills
* Ability to drive Standards within the direct team
* Ability to manage change processes
* Minimum 4 years of warehouse management experience
* Operations experience managing a team
* Customer facing experience, is an advantage
