AlixPartners
Business analyst
Posted: 2 March
Offer description

At AlixPartners we solve the most complex and critical challenges by moving quickly from analysis to action when it really matters; creating value that has a lasting impact on companies, their people, and the communities they serve. By understanding, respecting, and honoring the needs of our employees, clients, and communities, AlixPartners actively promotes an inclusive environment. We strongly believe in the value that diversity brings to our experiences and are committed to the perpetual enhancements of initiatives, policies, and practices. We hold ourselves accountable by providing the space for authenticity, growth, and equity for everyone.

AlixPartners has embraced a hybrid work model to provide flexibility and support our employees’ work‑life integration. Our hybrid model combines a mix of in‑person (at client site or AlixPartners office) and remote working. Travel is part of this position, but the frequency may vary based on client, team, and individual circumstances.

What You’ll Do

During the 15‑24 month programme you will be aligned to our London base. Following successful completion of the programme, you will then begin your consulting career in our Paris office.

The Business Intelligence Centre (BIC) drives the firm’s business development. You will start the programme with the team in our London office that works closely with our consulting staff to generate lead opportunities, manage opportunity pipelines, provide company and industry research, conduct business analysis, and provide proposal support. As such, your work will be highly visible and give you a window into the work we do and how we solve critical business challenges.

The programme serves as a springboard to consulting at AlixPartners. During the programme you will learn by doing. It offers a dynamic learning environment designed to equip you with a core consulting skill base and exposes you to our industries and communities. The role involves supporting the firm’s business development initiatives, identifying potential opportunities, and developing intellectual capital. Initially, you will support client‑facing teams with industry research and company analysis.

Once you gain a firm foundation in the basics, your role progresses from supporting to becoming a member of one of our regional engagement teams to solve our clients’ most critical issues. The programme invests in developing your core consulting skillset (incl. digital languages) through formal training and on‑the‑job learning. Your business acumen and understanding are further built through industry rotations. Successful analysts transfer into our senior consulting teams.

What You’ll Need

* Master’s degree is required
* Clear and concise communication skills and ability to interact with team members at varying levels
* Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills with a basic understanding of accounting and financial concepts
* Proactive, entrepreneurial, and self‑motivated; curious to learn about various industries and types of consulting engagements
* Team player and dependable
* Effective organizational skills with high attention to detail; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while handling multiple concurrent projects
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French; additional language skills are a bonus
* Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, particularly as unique projects/needs arise
* Must become familiar with, promote, and abide by our Core Values as defined by the AlixPartners Code of Conduct and foster an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organisation

The firm offers market‑leading benefits that provide flexible options to support our employee’s needs, including health benefits to help prioritise physical and emotional well‑being, time‑off policies to recharge, and financial/retirement benefits that offer income protection and support long‑term planning.

The benefit type and level differ per location.

AlixPartners is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, among other characteristics, race, religion, gender, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status or status as an individual with disability.
